Sri Lanka vs. New Zealand 1st Test: Day 1 in Tweets

Sri Lanka’s 2nd tour of New Zealand in as many years took off in Dunedin. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to field first on a green surface but it was New Zealand’s bat that dominated the day. Although Sri Lanka clawed their way back during the last session, they have a lot of dirty work to do to avoid a defeat, which is now looming against them.

Here are the tweets from our tweeps on the first day’s proceedings.

This tweep had every right to be angry about Sri Lanka’s lack of discipline with the ball.

Good to see that Test match still has fans, especially when your home team is not playing, especially when the match begins early in the morning.

Kane Williamson’s fan brigade made their support for the great Kiwi be known!

This guy had the guts to troll Jimmy Neesham in twitter. Did well to not to get trolled back.

New Zealand’s aggression has made some fans for them away from home.

New Zealanders can be happy. 400 runs on the first day is a rarity, that too on a green track.

Sri Lanka’s Midas managed to break a partnership once again
